👋 Meet Stephanie

🟧 Tell us about your career at Mark’s.

I started my career at Mark's in 2018 as a Purchase Coordinator in Casual Footwear and then moved into the Accessories department as a Buyer. My first year as a Buyer was in 2019, and suffice to say, there hasn't been a dull moment since!  

On top of my buying role, I led our team for the Calgary Corporate Challenge (CCC) team for 3 years, which was an incredible opportunity to get to know so many of the amazing people that make up our organization, and was an amazing way to get more involved in the Calgary community.  

🟧 How do you contribute to making life in Canada better?

As a Buyer at Mark's, we are always thinking of how to improve our product offering for our customers. How can we make better products, more comfortable products, and how can our customers get the most out of what they purchase from us. Building our assortments to maximize the value for our customers is something we all take pride in. On top of this, the work we do through Jumpstart and Corporate Challenge to support our local charity organizations has a direct impact on Canadians in Calgary and beyond.

I'm really proud of the work we do at Mark's to support our Charity partners and our customers.

🟧 What is it about Mark’s that excites you to come to work each day?

Mark's is an incredibly dynamic workplace, with new initiatives and projects happening throughout the business. But more importantly, we have an incredible team of passionate and experienced people who make up our business.

The people I get to work with each day inspire and motivate me to do my best - that's what excites me to come to work each day and always keeps things interesting!

🟧 What do you love about working at Mark's?

What I love about Mark's is that we aren't solely about products. We're also about people! From our customers to our store staff and corporate teams, Mark's has a culture of collaboration and hard work that drives us each day to do better. It's a privilege to work with people every day who are passionate about what they do and who are constantly learning. I'm very lucky to have the opportunity to learn from the depth of knowledge and experience within Mark's; it's truly something special.
