Major donation to change the landscape of rare and undiagnosed disease

We’re proud to share that The Kids Research Institute Australia will be a part of the new Rare Care Comprehensive Centre (RCCC) - a major initiative for children with rare and undiagnosed diseases.

Funded by one of Western Australia’s largest-ever philanthropic gifts, including $221.1 million from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, the Centre will drive innovation across five flagship programs. It will unite clinicians, researchers, and cross-sector partners to accelerate diagnosis, improve care, and transform outcomes for kids with rare and undiagnosed diseases (RUD).

Our researchers will contribute their expertise across four key programs: diagnosis, treatment, models of care, and artificial intelligence.
