Issue 44: An early week edition with 60+ roles and internships

I’m back with a special early week edition… with lots of roles being shared it felt easier to tackle this week in two editions.

For those new to my roundups, I am not affiliated with the hiring of these roles. I am simply donating my time and talents to curate and organize to hopefully help your search. Please use your normal due diligence as you research these roles further.

Part II: Build Your Network

For those looking to hire creative or production talent, two new talent collectives have caught my attention on LinkedIn:

SHELTR:

About 10 months ago Hayden Gilbert set out to assemble a roster of the country’s most talented/creative human beings. This roster will be called drum roll THE FORTY EIGHT (or The48). The48 roster will consist of 48 Writers, 48 Art Directors, 48 UX/UI Designers, 48 Account Directors, 48 Media Planners, and 48 Producers. And possibly 48 of another role or two that we haven’t accounted for yet. He’s a link to his original post introducing the idea.

How are they doing? Hayden explained in his most recent post that they have “300+ vetted and talented freelancer, contractors, and consultants who can be assembled into agency teams in less than 48 hours.

We are Open to Work

Currently 25 professionals featured in their collective with expertise across operations, creative, marketing, hr and strategy.

As their website explains “Once upon a time we worked together, creating a bond that endured even when our professional paths diverge. Now we support each other in job searches. Each member carries a unique experience and brilliant expertise.

We are open to work and seek connections with recruiters and hiring managers to secure new opportunities.”

Brillant move by both… so if you inquire, please let them know I sent you.

For those looking for a paid mentorship model:

Oh Hello

Some of my favorite marketers have joined Jeremy Bloom’s Oh Hello mentorship platform.

As their website explains, Oh Hello provides a safe space for curious professionals seeking 1:1 advice and inspiration, from our experienced community, all while giving back to those in need.

For those looking to connect and learn in a small group setting, Marni Gordon is curating a pilot group coaching program for like-minded "midlife marketers" navigating a career change. Space is limited to a maximum of 6 participants and there are only 2 spots available on a first come first served basis. If you're interested in finding out more information, message her on LinkedIn or email her at marnigordoncoaching@gmail.com

Part III: Get Inspired

This week I have been catching recordings from the The People Summit 2024 and two sessions really resonated with me:

Fireside Chat with Sunny Grosso: "Engagement is no longer enough. Wellbeing is the new measurement.”"

·       People want more meaning in the work they do. Happiness takes a lot of courage.

·       Being our true selves is one of the multipliers of well-being.

·       Leaders should focus on connection. It’s a driver of belonging and leaves your team with the feeling that my leader (and by extension my employer) cares about me.

Fireside chat with Shelley Paxton: "Where Soul Meets Success: A New Leadership Roadmap"

·       We all need to come into alignment with our core values. Where do we start to get clarity? Shelley recommended spending time with Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead Values. Start with your top 15 and key narrowing down until you arrive at your top 3.

·       Values inform the boundaries that we create in our lives. We can think of our “Yes’s” and our “No’s” as energy management. The boundaries we set are in service of our values and our well-being.

·       Shelley recommends that we all do an “energy audit.” Understanding what fills your soul (“soul fuels”) and what leaves you exhausted (“soul sucks”).

·       How does this affect leadership? Organizations are a collection of humans. The way we as leaders show up and the behaviors that we model sets the tone for our team and impacts the larger organizational culture.

Well that’s all for today… Until next time (likely Friday evening!)

Thrilled to see such rich resources shared! 🌟 Remember, as Aristotle wisely noted, we are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. Let's continue creating opportunities and sharing wisdom to shape our paths. #growth #sharingiscaring
