Yep, it’s a real thing! Tims donuts have been fueling meetings for decades — but that box of donuts holds more than just a tasty treat - it also holds a host of unspoken rules that we’ve all been following, without even realizing it!
Not sure what the rules are? Here are the top tips for great Workplace Donut Etiquette:
1) Early morning meetings call for early morning donuts.
On your daily Tims run before work and have an early morning meeting? Grab a box of classic Tims donuts for the team on your way in. You’ll kick off the week as the MVP of your team!
2) If you reach for a Boston Cream donut, be ready to commit.
Topped with delicious chocolate, oozing with cream… These sweet treats require a small bit of etiquette. Make sure to pick the donut up from the sides to avoid chocolatey fingers and have a napkin handy, just in case!
3) When there’s only one donut left in the box, split it up!
When you’re down to the last one, it’s always best to make it into many. Sharing is caring, right?
4) Late afternoon meeting? Donuts.
The same rule for early morning meetings should absolutely apply for late afternoon meetings!
