Can't travel? No problem. Virtual book tour instead

So…I have a book coming out June 9, Design Thinking for Training and Development (co-authored with the amazing Laura Fletcher). When I published Play Games to Learn Game Design in 2017 (with the equally amazing Karl Kapp), we got to have a big party – beer, appetizers, friends, clients, family, and fun. We had a wonderful celebration, and it felt wonderful. Here's a pic of me with a cake my teammates got for me as part of that celebration.

Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic. Needless to say, a party is not happening. And, people are pretty much over the “quarantini’s and Zoom” gatherings and the virtual happy hours. By the end of each day right now, most of us want to get away from our computers, not spend more time with them.

So I enlisted the help of a few peeps I respect and value and arranged a virtual book tour. It's still virtual - but you choose when you partake. Here’s where we’re “stopping” on tour and who we’re talking to:

June 5 – Karl Kapp interviews me and posts the interview via a post on his LinkedIn blog.

June 10 – Mike Taylor shares his perspective on the book at mike-taylor.org

June 16 – Will Thalheimer, a contributor to the book, shares thoughts via Will's blog.

June 24 – Connie Malamud, the ultimate eLearning Coach, closes out the tour by posting a book review on her blog site.

There’s no beers involved (unless you choose to partake while reading the posts), but there is lots of insights and support from great thought leaders within the industry.
