An ambitious Digital Transformation Strategy in a Product-Led organization requires us to think inventively towards new operating models. These operating models not only help plug potential sources of revenue bleed but in the process uplifts the ever increasing expectations of stable and reliable Consumer Experience. Maturity frameworks helps us assess the fitment and progress towards an organizational North star.

The DEVOPS maturity framework is a consistently evolving journey. Kudos to the team adidas for upgrading the framework with the next level with an SRE mindset.

The upgraded Maturity Assessment that considers Stability and Reliability related dimensions, presents the organization with a whole new world of possibilities.

It’s important to have the right measures in place to track the Key results. These OKRs lay the foundational guiding principles that drive product Stability roadmap.

SRE supplements the persistence for reliability and maintainability of systems. It is also a mindset and a set of engineering practices to run better production services. An SRE has to be able to engineer creative solutions to problems, strike the right balance between reliability and feature velocity and target appropriate levels of service quality. The rule of thumb for Backlog Realization being “Max 50% effort on Operational tasks and Minimum 50% on Engineering tasks to reduce toil”

Its an ambitious and exciting journey and for sure not an easy one as 2020 challenges us with a new normal.
