Contractors feud over Elizabeth Quay work
Supreme Court of Western Australia Justice Larissa Strk recently dismissed Wood & Grieve Engineers’ application to access more information from CPB Contractors.
The state government engaged Wood & Grieve for civil engineering services over the Elizabeth Quay project in 2012, a project that CPB Contractors was also contracted for.
Police reveal details of case against Tilley
Police have released details of the fraud charges against Paramount Earthmoving boss Shawn Tilley.
Mr Tilley, 36, is facing two counts of knowingly using a false record with intent to defraud and a further two counts of giving a false certificate or information with intent to defraud.
He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on November 19.
Ex-Cambridge mayor Keri Shannon fails to overturn complaints ruling
Former Town of Cambridge mayor Keri Shannon has failed to overturn the penalties slapped over complaints made against her during her time on council.
The State Administrative Tribunal doubled down on the Local Government Standards Panel’s findings on Ms Shannon, despite her bid to review the decision that compelled her to make a public apology.
Ms Shannon was found to have breached several counts of the Local Government Act and was ordered to make a public apology as a penalty in 2023.
