🫀 What if avoiding five common risk factors at age 50 could give you over a decade of life without cardiovascular disease? That's exactly what a major NEJM study from 2025 shows. At YEARS, we believe that prevention should start long before symptoms appear — and that risk isn’t destiny. This document outlines: • The five most powerful modifiable CVD risks • The average gains in disease-free years (healthspan) for men and women • Why prevention must go beyond individual lab values • How we at YEARS use structured, data-driven strategies to support long-term health 📈 This is not trend-driven wellness — it’s rigorous, longitudinal medicine designed to extend the healthspan. 📚 Source: Magnussen et al., NEJM, 2025 🧬 Learn how our method turns data into action: https://years.co/en #Healthspan #CVDPrevention #YEARSClinic #PrecisionPrevention #DataDrivenMedicine #PersonalizedHealthcare #Longevity

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month - a time to reflect on one of the most urgent and far-reaching health challenges of our time. Diabetes doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s deeply connected to food insecurity, access to care, and systemic inequities that make prevention harder for those who need it most. Preventing diabetes means giving people the tools, access, and support they need - and addressing the broader systems that drive risk. One of its most devastating complications, diabetic retinopathy, remains a leading cause of preventable blindness among working-age adults. Yet with early detection, the risk of severe vision loss can be reduced by more than 90%. With AI and high-resolution retinal imaging, we can detect these changes early - enabling better risk management, earlier intervention, and more equitable preventive care. At identifeye HEALTH, we believe the eye is more than a lens to see the world — it’s a window into whole-body health and a chance to improve proactive care for all. #DiabetesAwarenessMonth #PreventiveCare #HealthEquity #EyeHealth

Association between frequency of meeting daily step thresholds and all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease in older women HOW THIS STUDY MIGHT AFFECT RESEARCH, PRACTICE OR POLICY • Physical activity guidelines in older women should consider recommending at least ≥4000 steps/day on even 1–2 days per week to lower mortality and CVD risk. • The number of steps is important for the inverse associations with mortality and CVD, and not the frequency of days/week achieving a particular step threshold. 🚶♀️👟👣❤️🩺💪👵🎯✅🗓️🔬⬇️📈 https://lnkd.in/daM2hX53 #PhysicalActivity #DailySteps #StepThreshold #OlderWomen #CVD #MortalityRisk #HealthResearch #BJSM #StepGoal #ActivityGuidelines #WalkMore #GetActive #HealthyHeart #StayActive #FitnessOver50 #SeniorFitness #PreventativeMedicine #PublicHealth #ExerciseIsMedicine #WalkingForHealth #4000Steps #StepCount #StepFrequency #InverseAssociation #Longevity #ActiveAging #CardioHealth #MinimumEffectiveDose #ScienceOfSteps #LifestyleMedicine

Spike-triggered immune problem, iron-deficiency anemia, all of this with a case report of 5 anecdotes ? And to pretend that millions of admissions were reviewed in a few months, while NHS data should be protected is somewhat intriguing and unlikely ? Any analysis of patients' data requires that such patients have signed informed consent that their data would be used for research purposes. But the reality is that these immune changes are seen in COVID infections and well-documented in such cases. But as for vaccination against COVID, as said, such a phenomenon remains one to be fully demonstrated. https://lnkd.in/eDSkAkte https://lnkd.in/eB9UwxTa

Over the past few months, I’ve been studying almost ten years of NHS hospital data. Millions of admissions from 2016 to 2025. What I found is surprising: the pattern of illness is changing, and it no longer fits what we used to see. Diseases that stayed steady for years are now climbing quickly. One of the biggest increases is iron-deficiency anaemia, a condition where the body doesn’t have enough iron to make healthy blood. It’s rising faster than almost any other diagnosis since the pandemic. Most official reports haven’t highlighted this yet, but the numbers are already clear. If we wait for everyone to agree, the growing wave of chronic illness will already be here. The most likely link comes from what I call a spike-triggered immune problem — where the body’s own defences stay switched on for too long and start affecting many organs at once. In this case it could be a worsening of small intestinal inflammation. My goal in this new series is to explain how these changes fit within an autoimmune pattern, and why understanding this early could reshape how we think about health in the post-pandemic world. #covid #medicine #research
