On Thursday, 16 October, the entire World Vision Australia team came together at NewHope Baptist Church, and virtually, for our annual Prayer Day – our yearly opportunity to connect around our organisational purpose and strategy. This year’s theme, “The Light of the World,” prompted reflection on how hope, compassion, and purposeful action can illuminate lives and communities. We were inspired by keynote speakers John Robertson (Global Leadership Network) and Alana Nicholls (Pro Purpose) who offered valuable insights by sharing their personal experiences with child sponsorship and emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts for greater impact. Thank you to CEO Grant Bayldon and WVI President Andrew Morley for delivering heartfelt messages to our staff, as well as Tony O'Rourke, Sloane Simpson, and the band for providing the musical entertainment. #WorldVision #OurPeople #MeetTheTeam #PeopleWithPurpose
Bless you, my brothers and sisters
What a wonderful opportunity to connect and reflect on the important work World Vision does. It sounds like it was an inspiring day for the whole team.
I remember with great fondness the WVA Prayer Days when I worked at WVA, coming down to Melbourne from the Sydney office - these were always a wonderful blessing to have with great connection to colleagues on our united purpose 🧡
So good to see the team and work of World Vision lifted up in prayer
Inspiring ! Uplifting ! Well done team !
