World Vision Australia’s Post

Strong partnerships empower remote First Nations communities. We are honoured to continue our journey with The Ian Potter Foundation, who have committed $2 million to phase two of our West Kimberley Early Childhood Care and Development Program. At the core of this program are community-led playgroups that promote “both-ways” learning. This approach to education celebrates culture and language, with First Nations and mainstream learning complementing and strengthening each other. Since 2018, The Ian Potter Foundation has been a valued partner to remote First Nations communities, walking alongside families through challenges like COVID-19 lockdowns and extreme flooding, and ensuring children have access to safe, nurturing environments to learn and grow. This renewed commitment is more than funding. It’s a powerful investment in children, families and their future. On behalf of the communities we serve, thank you to the Ian Potter Foundation for your trust and generous support. #Partnerships #Philanthropy #AustraliaFirstNations #WorldVision #WestKimberleyEarlyChildhood #ThrivingChildren #Playgroups

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with World Vision and your community partners for another four years. Visiting the West Kimberley region earlier this year was a real privilege and gave us a deeper appreciation of both the strength, and impact of this community-led work. We look forward to supporting the next phase of this important program.
