Claude by Anthropic demonstrates what’s possible with MCP on Windows.
Using the File Explorer connector with user consent, Claude can gather relevant documents—such as meeting notes or status updates—and turn them into summaries or executive-style reports, all while working locally within the Windows security model.
This demo shows how MCP on Windows enables privacy-first, user-controlled workflows that help teams save time and stay organized without moving data across apps or environments.

This is an example of Cloud Desktop Agent using the new File Explorer connector from Windows. Let's create an executive summary for an infra migration project. I simply ask the agent create an executive summary of the infra migration project using all the relevant documents. Claude recognizes there is a File Explorer connector and asks for permission to connect to it. Upon my consent, it gathers the most relevant files, meeting notes, spreadsheet trackers, status updates, no matter which folder they're in. In fact, information is scattered across local folders and multiple documents, which could easily take an hour to gather and summarize. Now you can do this in just a few minutes. From scattered docks to polished summary, everything is done with your consent. That's the power of using cloud and your workflows on Windows.
