Looking to ace your next tech interview? AI can be a powerful ally for coding challenges and case studies. For coding interviews, AI excels at pattern recognition since most technical questions follow common structures it has seen before. It helps with initial questions, follow-ups, and actual coding solutions. Case studies need more human interaction though. Whilst AI provides great frameworks and question structures, you still need that back-and-forth with interviewers to confirm assumptions. ⚡ Watch this breakdown of how to leverage AI effectively for both interview types. #TechInterviews #CodingInterview #AI #CareerTips #InterviewPrep

Posts like this from tools like Alex.AI prove AI interviewing isn't just about efficiency, it's about authenticity. We are about to fundamentally democratize hiring by moving beyond the resume black hole and giving every single applicant the chance to have a genuine conversation. We will look back and question our resistance to a system that unlocks a new, more human-centric way for candidates to truly differentiate themselves.
Messages like this remind me why we’re building Alex AI. There’s been a lot of debate around AI interviews. Some worry they’ll take the human connection out of the process. Then I got this DM 👇 They asked to stay anonymous, but gave me permission to share. Without Alex, I probably never would’ve received a message like this. We’re not building AI to replace recruiters — we’re building it to make candidates feel heard, and to create moments like this. Moments like this are a reminder of what good technology can do. #AI #Hiring #Recruiting #FutureOfWork #CandidateExperience

What if coding interviews reflected the real world of AI collaboration? Our Co Founder & CIO Jason Elkin joined other HR Think Tank members in Senior Executive to discuss how AI assisted interviews could redefine how we evaluate developers. “Any technology organization that seeks to defeat cheating in the interview, and wants to understand the way AI helps a given engineer, should try this approach.” — Jason Elkin 👉 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eBBwNXhH Shoutout to the brilliant leaders featured in this piece: Heide Abelli, Ulrike (Ulli) Hildebrand & Steve Degnan #EQUALSTRUE #FutureOfWork

There’s a new breed of AI agents and they’re starting to fool even the savviest of hiring managers. Interview AI assistants, like Parakeet AI, InterviewCoder, and Leetcode Wizard, are designed to help candidates prep by giving instant tips, answers, and feedback. Lately, some coders have taken it too far, using these tools not just for practice, but secretly during real interviews to get answers in real time. This turns interviews into a guessing game, where hiring managers, HR teams, and senior leaders may not realize they’re being outsmarted by AI. If misused, these agents risk damaging trust and making it harder for honest candidates to shine. Even if hiring managers ask candidates to share their screens, these AI assistants can still be used on a phone at the same time. How do you think interviewers should handle this new challenge? #HR #Interviews #AIAgents https://lnkd.in/d6GrTiiH

Interview prep with AI isn't cheating, if done correctly. It's training smart, like shadowboxing before a real fight. The trick? Stop memorizing answers. Start anticipating patterns. #UsingAIWithIntent (Part 3)

AI is transforming software development. Interview practices have not kept pace. Experienced developers continue to spend hours preparing for algorithm-based interviews that emphasize memorization over practical problem-solving ability. Meanwhile, several companies are beginning to allow, and in some cases encourage, the use of AI during the interview process. At QCon AI New York 2025 (Dec 16-17), Daniel Doubrovkine, People Leader and Engineering Practitioner in OSS and AI, examines how hiring practices should evolve for the AI era. In "Getting Rid of LeetCode Interviews in the World of AI," Daniel explores: 🔹 The misalignment between traditional technical interviews and modern software development practices 🔹 How forward-thinking companies are adapting their interview processes 🔹 Aligning hiring team objectives with candidate evaluation in an AI-native environment 🔹 What technical interviews should measure when algorithm memorization is no longer relevant Early bird pricing ends November 11. Why don’t interviewers allow using AI or Google during interviews? In real development, no one remembers everything. We all use Google, Stack Overflow, or AI tools daily to solve problems, fix bugs, and learn new things. Then why do interviewers still expect candidates to solve everything from memory? 🤔 Development today is huge — frameworks, libraries, tools… it’s impossible to remember everything. Real skill is not remembering, but knowing how to find the right solution quickly and use it smartly. So maybe interviews should test how well we use AI and Google to solve problems, instead of just testing how much we’ve memorized. 💡 What do you think? Should interviews evolve with time and allow AI assistance? #AI #Coding #Interviews #TechThoughts #DevelopersLife #LinkedInFirstPost
