Since November 1, the Fondation Veolia has been working alongside PIRAC - Croix-Rouge française to support communities affected by Hurricane Melissa in #Jamaica. Three mobile water purification units, two Aquaforces 2000 (mobile water treatment units by ultrafiltration) and one Aquaforce RO, were transported from Guadeloupe to Jamaica by the French Navy. Their mission? Producing several thousand liters of drinking water per hour to meet the urgent needs of the inhabitants. An expert from Veolia | France, working as a #Veoliaforce volunteer, is accompanying the humanitarian teams in the field to assess the extent of the damage, install the equipment and monitor water quality. This emergency humanitarian operation is part of the long-standing cooperation between the Veolia Foundation, the French Red Cross and its delegation Regional Intervention Platform for the Americas and the Caribbean (PIRAC): all working together for #solidarity. 🔗 Learn more about #Aquaforce solutions: https://lnkd.in/eZm5ymR5 © Croix-Rouge française
