30-35 tonnes per hour. 500 tonnes daily. One powerful mission. ♻️ For #NationalRecyclingWeek, we're spotlighting our Bibra Lake Material Recovery Facility — where WA's waste becomes tomorrow's resources. The challenge? WA's plastic recycling rate sits at just 6.9%. Businesses need solutions that work, not add complexity. Our answer: ✅ Accept mixed recycling — no pre-sorting required ✅ Process 7 material types including plastics, metals, cardboard/paper and glass ✅ Deploy AI-powered robotics achieving 95% sorting accuracy ✅ Powered by on-site solar The result? We're boosting recovery rates by up to 75% whilst making sustainability simpler for Perth businesses. 🌍 Every tonne we process is 750kg diverted from landfill and returned to manufacturing. That's ecological transformation in action — and it's why we do what we do. 💬 Want to learn how we can transform your waste into opportunity? Let's talk.

Today is America Recycles Day, and while most people will think about recycling paper, plastic bottles and metal cans, YORK® heat pumps take recycling to a whole new level. That's because YORK® heat pumps leverage advanced technologies to capture waste heat generated as a byproduct of process cooling and use it for other purposes like heating water — all without the use of any additional energy! Learn more about how YORK® heat pumps contribute to long-term sustainability by rethinking what it means to recycle at: https://on.jci.com/3WDMZz2. #YORK #HVAC #heatpumps #sustainability #recycling

Recycling industry associations would have you believe differently, but the fact is that only about 5-9% of all plastic is actually recycled. This is disappointing news, because many of us have been trying to do our part for years. However, the good news is that new technologies are making the plastic recycling conundrum a non-issue. One such technology is ECLIPSE® by Smart Plastic Technologies. https://lnkd.in/gHgpjkM6 #changetheplastic #changetheplanet https://lnkd.in/gSM5jeGJ

Factory Floors, Zero Waste in Sight Manufacturing waste is complex, with multiple streams and multiple problems. On one factory floor, recyclable materials were being sent to landfills unnoticed. WastePlan’s on-site team uncovered the gaps and boosted diversion rates in just months. The result? A step closer to zero waste to landfill in an industry where waste often feels unavoidable. #ZeroWastetoLandfill #Sustainability #Recycling #WasteManagement #ManufacturingIndustry #WastePlan

An MRF, or Material Recovery Facility, is where recyclable materials are collected, sorted, and prepared for reuse instead of ending up in landfills. Inside an MRF, advanced machines and skilled workers separate paper, plastic, glass, and metals so they can be processed and turned into new products. Why it matters? Because MRFs are the heart of recycling systems they reduce waste, save energy, and protect natural resources by keeping valuable materials in circulation. . #Sustainability #Recycling #MRF #CircularEconomy #EcoAwareness #ZeroWaste #GreenFuture #EnvironmentalEducation #CleanPlanet #WasteManagement #GoGreen

Ever wonder where your recycling goes after it leaves your curb? Once collected, materials are taken to sorting facilities — known as Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) — where cardboard, metals, plastics, and paper are separated, cleaned, and baled. From there, they’re sent to manufacturers to be reused in new products like aluminum cans, cardboard, and paper goods. It’s a continuous cycle that reduces landfill waste and conserves valuable resources. Every clean, properly sorted item makes a difference! 🌎 #CARDS #Sustainability #RecyclingEducation #WasteManagement #ThinkGreen #ReduceReuseRecycle

At Autoglass® and Laddaw®, we’re committed to reducing waste and keeping as much material as possible out of landfill. That’s why we don’t just recycle the glass waste generated by our own operations - we also collect and recycle glass waste from our wholesale customers. By opening up our recycling streams to others in the industry, we’re helping to ensure that more vehicle glass is recovered, processed responsibly, and given a new life rather than ending up in landfill. In fact, around 10% of the total waste we handle comes from other companies - a figure we’re proud of as we work together to create a more sustainable industry. As with our glass recycling programme, we also take responsibility for chemical waste, not only from our own teams, but from other companies who trust us to manage it safely and in line with environmental best practice. It’s all part of how our purpose - making a memorable difference with care - guides the way we operate every day. #Autoglass #Laddaw #Sustainability #ResponsibleBusiness #WeGoFurther
