What harms the environment harms us… and when pharmaceuticals leak into nature, they don’t disappear. They change animal behaviour, disrupt hormones, enter crops and fuel antimicrobial resistance. If unchecked, #AMR could cause 39 million deaths by 2050. Safer production, use and disposal of pharmaceuticals is essential. A crucial reminder of how closely human health and environmental health are connected. Pharmaceutical pollution is an often-overlooked driver of antimicrobial resistance, and addressing it requires action across the full lifecycle from production to prescribing to disposal. Strengthening these systems is essential if we are to mitigate AMR and safeguard both ecosystems and public health.
It poses a crucial challenge not only for the pollutant-removing technology but also for the consumption habits and healthy living conditions. For example, antibiotics, analgesics, antidepressant drugs, chemotherapy medicines, and hormones are currently found in water bodies, which are also under pressure from pesticides used for intensive agricultural production. So, it is imperative to have new treatment approaches, regulations, and behavioral action awareness for the protection of human and ecosystem health.
An important reminder from UNEP. Pharmaceutical pollution is a growing driver of AMR and ecosystem disruption. Through our MOBILES project we develop new sensing tools for monitoring contaminants travel through water, soil, and food systems - reinforcing the need for safer production, use, and disposal of pharmaceuticals. Strengthening monitoring and prevention must be a global priority.
UN Environment Programme Dear respected Sir, All time best wishes for you. My writing is so important that implementing my writing could easily add more than $300,000,000,000 (US dollar) year to the Climate Fund.. “The more we delay, the more damage will increase. We cannot allow the damage to grow any further. COP-30 must not be allowed to fail.” One of the most important issues to address the damage caused by climate disasters is the creation of a climate fund. Formulation and implementation of some urgent laws My article describes the easiest and most effective way to create a climate fund. How to reduce temperature rise is also discussed. Please read the text, think. If you don't like it, you can scold me as you wish. Please read the mail from asalamrb3311@gmail.com or mail me for details.
