How IP addresses are organized? Here’s a quick guide to IP address classes! 👇 Class A: For huge networks (Range: 1-126) Class B: Perfect for medium-sized networks (Range: 128-191) Class C: Great for smaller networks (Range: 192-223) Class D: Reserved for multicast groups (Range: 224-239) Each class has its own unique structure, splitting bits for network and host or multicast purposes. Super helpful for anyone curious about networking! 🌐 #TechTalk #NetworkingBasics #hacker339

** When "Cheaper" Isn't Better: A BGP Story Headquarters told us: "Our link to ISP B is cheaper, so make sure we use it for all outbound traffic." Sounds simple. We set a higher Local Preference for routes from ISP-B. Done. A week later, the CFO is on the phone. Video calls to a major partner are unusable during peak hours. The "cheaper" path was congested and had higher latency. **The Mistake:** We treated all traffic equally. BGP didn't know that video traffic needed a different path. **The Solution:** **BGP Policy-Based Routing (PBR) + QoS.** 1. Used ACLs to identify video conferencing traffic (destination IPs/subnets). 2. Created a route-map that matched this traffic and set a different next-hop (the premium ISP-A link). 3. Applied the route-map as a PBR on the outbound interface. Result: Happy CFO, happy users, and we still saved money by sending bulk data over the cheaper link. #BGP #NetworkDesign #QoS #EnterpriseNetworking #ITStrategy

Quick summary of tackling multiple dial plans and voice technologies for uni or multi-manufacturer environments. I see this coming up more frequently as customers move to Teams voice corporately and use a separate vendor(s) for contact center applications.
Voice will always be essential in today’s modern enterprise but how do you keep it relevant? Matthew Douglass and I sat down to discuss how CBTS brings CCaaS, UCaaS, SIP, and more together on a centralized nationwide SIP core. With flexible dial plans and seamless integrations across Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Twilio, Genesys, and more, we help partners and customers simplify even the most complex voice migrations. Legacy networking just wasn’t built to scale. When companies needed to connect thousands of sites in real time, the old hardware approach couldn’t keep up. That challenge led to the idea behind Trustgrid — a simpler, software-defined way to handle complex connectivity without all the heavy lifting. #SoftwareDefinedNetworking #NetworkTransformation #Connectivity
