Very well said Caleb Earnest!
YES to everything you shared Caleb! Service!!!! Thanks for what you do and bring to us!
At that time, I had several proofs of occupancy, including: • Utility bills • Mortgage statements • Photos of furnished rooms • My children living there • My disabled mother staying there • Tax records • Water bills None of that mattered. The denial came first, and the idea of an “investigation” only showed up after I challenged it and cited my rights. Most homeowners don’t know this can happen. I didn’t either. Here’s the warning: Even when Travelers confirms your damage and pays your claim, they can still deny ALE first — before investigating anything — leaving families in unsafe or unlivable conditions while they “review.”
I’m sharing this so homeowners know what to ask before trusting any insurer, especially Travelers, with something as important as their home. ⸻ ⚖️ Legal Disclaimer: This post reflects my personal experience and records, and expresses my own opinions.
