Anyone can talk about testing. We prefer to show it. Our suspension engineer got behind the wheel of the BYD on standard tyres — no fancy upgrades, no edits — just pure, real-world conditions. The KIA Tasman handled it beautifully (thanks to both setup and skill), while the BYD reminded us exactly why testing in imperfect conditions matters. We were out testing suspension for R&D that day, and even though this clip turned into a bit of a laugh (and a textbook example of how not to off-road), it also gave us valuable data on what really happens when everyday vehicles hit challenging terrain. At TJM, we put our engineers in the driver’s seat — literally — because nothing beats learning from lived experience on the track.

1. BYD didn't get bogged, it drove out the mud track successfully; 2. KIA driver drove the car by avoiding the mud track while BYD driver turned the steering wheel to the left so as to let the car fall into the mud track; 3. These 2 cars were even not driving on the same section of the track... I mean, what's the meaning of the test? Why bother to compare each other if the test conditions were even not the same? I can see obvious artificial disturbance.

A 40 year old Hilux can do what both of these vehicles have done. A modle T probably could too

Looks good. But will it last 35 years like a Toyota?
