Real change starts with real commitment – so we’re proud to be one of 50 signatories to the Clean Energy Council Australia Best Practice Charter. This voluntary set of commitments, supported by fellow industry leaders, guides how clean energy projects are developed and operated across the country. The Charter outlines our commitments to engage respectfully with the communities in which we plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to those regions. That’s why we’re delighted to launch our 2025 Best Practice Charter report - the industry’s blueprint for delivering clean energy with integrity, accountability, and lasting community benefit. 🎉 We are delighted that our proposed carbon capture and storage project has been approved by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. This industry-leading project will capture 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 a year from our Riverside energy from waste facilities, making a material contribution to the decarbonisation of London and the UK. ♻️ The project will also generate high quality carbon removals. The recent Independent Review of Greenhouse Gas removals highlighted the vital role which waste-to-energy with CCS (WECCS) will play in hitting the UK's decarbonisation targets and we are proud to be playing our part. Fantastic news to wake up to. Cory's proposed Carbon Capture and Storage project approved by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. This is just a milestone in the copious work that has to follow for Cory and its industry partners for this great project, but it is comforting to know that I'm part of the team which can help deliver such a positive impact on the environment. This project aims to capture 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 per year, both biogenic and fossil, significantly supporting London and the UK's decarbonisation plans with a step toward the right direction.

Fantastic news today as Cory has received approval for its Development Consent Order application to build an industry-leading #CCS project at its Riverside energy from waste facilities in Belvedere. The project will make a material contribution to London’s decarbonisation efforts by capturing c. 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 a year. Once captured, the carbon dioxide from their facility will be liquefied and transported via ship for permanent storage under the North Sea. At Viking CCS, we are proud to work closely with Cory so that in the future, their captured carbon can be stored in the Viking store in the Southern North Sea. This is a real-world example of regions working together to deliver economic growth for the UK. Congratulations on this major milestone! https://lnkd.in/e5KYEwtb Chris Girdham Caroline Dobbin Dougie Sutherland Cory

Great to see this fantastic milestone for CCS in the UK, well done to the team at Cory for securing a successful DCO outcome. 🥳 Non pipeline transport (NPT) has a key role to play in decarbonising UK energy and industry sites that don’t happen to be near hub networks but are committed to decarbonising. The Cory DCO is a key step in demonstrating this potential in practice. NPT also gives the UK valuable trade opportunities with Europe. Despite reduced federal support for clean energy, U.S. cities are advancing climate initiatives. Portland created the first zero-emission delivery zone and aims to end petroleum diesel sales by 2030. Boston now requires large new buildings to meet net-zero carbon standards. Cities nationwide are investing in renewable energy, skills training for green jobs, and innovative approaches to building efficiency and electrification. As residential electricity prices rise, local governments remain committed to sustainability. ✍️ Carey L. Biron reports 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eDxJdf3y

Renewable energy isn’t just about reducing carbon emissions — it’s about building stronger, more resilient communities. In places like Sydney, Cape Breton, the shift toward solar and other renewable solutions can mean: • Lower long-term energy costs for homes and businesses • Local job creation in clean energy installation and maintenance • Reduced dependence on aging infrastructure and rising fuel costs • A more sustainable path for future development projects At Sun Kissed Energy, we’re proud to work alongside community leaders like Michael Moore, our Business Development Manager for Cape Breton, to help bring these benefits to life. The Sierra–San Joaquin Valley region is shaping California’s clean energy future. Comprising Madera, Fresno, Tulare, and Kings counties, this region covers 15% of the state’s land but is projected to generate over 25% of its renewable energy by 2040. With leadership from the Central Valley Community Foundation (CVCF) and support from State partners, the Sierra San Joaquin Jobs (S2J2) initiative is pioneering a collaborative approach to energy planning that aligns economic opportunity with climate resilience and community benefit. “This county–State collaboration on energy planning is unprecedented, demonstrating an innovative approach that could serve as a model for smarter infrastructure development with lasting benefits for the regional economy and natural resources.” Following a recent visit by California Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot, State leaders praised the region’s innovation and commitment to balancing clean energy growth with agricultural and natural resource preservation. 🔗 Click the link below to learn how S2J2 is advancing a clean energy future for the Central Valley. https://lnkd.in/gKeGyfYu
