On Wednesday night, our gold partner, King & Wood Mallesons generously hosted our annual Melbourne corporate and philanthropic partners’ dinner. Almost 60 guests were welcomed by Darren McClafferty, Jerome Tse and Pinnacle Foundation chair, Greg Livingstone. Andrew Staite highlighted the Foundation’s continued growth in scholarships awarded, the Make Awkward Awesome campaign, and Pinnacle’s partnership with The University of Sydney Business School to deliver the LGBTQIA+ Executive Fellowship. The highlight of the evening was an inspiring address by Pinnacle Foundation scholar, Nikoletta A. Joseph Muraca closed proceedings. The Pinnacle Foundation is not government funded and relies on the financial support of its partners and donors to fund its programs. Thank you to the representatives of our partners who joined us, and to L'Oréal Groupe, MOOD, Blundstone Australia and Poodle for raffle prizes.
Thank you to our marvellous hosts, and to all of our partners who joined us. We are very grateful for your sustained support. Well done on such a powerful speech, Nikoletta A.
It’s powerful and special to be in this room full of support, allyship and encouragement for LGBTQIA+ scholars supported by The Pinnacle Foundation, partners and philanthropists. So moving to hear Nikoletta’s speech and to sit with a graduate Pinnacle scholar, now a lawyer with hosts, King & Wood Mallesons. It’s alarming too though, to hear about stories of hurt and rejection that impact the safety and well-being of younger LQGTQIA+ leaders of the future. Proud to be part of this wonderful community representing Diversity Partners as a partner, championing Pinnacle’s fabulous work. Thankyou Andrew Staite and Greg Livingstone and team at Pinnacle for all that you do.
A wonderful event Andrew, as always! Wonderful to connect with your own team and so many other like-minded people and organisations 💜
It was a wonderful night, inspiring speeches and leadership. KWM were brilliant hosts.
