Wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging is making significant strides, with recent breakthroughs pushing efficiency levels up to 97%. EV bike adoption revolution can get a major push if the EV battery can be standardised across make model having swapable joints at every fuel pumps. Unless the battery is commoditised like petrol this adoption won't get leaps and bounds ahead. Yes battery power challenges can be thought through while standardising.

💡From solid-state batteries till wireless charging! It is exciting to see what new technologies are rising up the coming years in terms of battery electric cars. From my perspective, the following four innovations are the most interesting ones: A) Solid-state batteries that are expected to enable that battery electric cars can make far over 1000 km without recharging. B) Wireless charging via induction during parking the car, what makes the charging of electric cars further convenient. C) Electric cars with bi-directional charging function. Meaning electric cars that are able supply the in their batteries stored energy back to the charging station. That could especially be of interest if you have solar panels at home. With the right charging station at home, the car battery could then be used to store electricity generated from the solar panels during the day. And during night the car battery can help to supply your house with electricity. (However, that is not yet allowed in all countries!) D) Further increase of the max. charging power (to 1000 kW or even more) at fast charging stations, what would make charging nearly as quick as refueling a petrol or diesel car.
