Driving India’s Nuclear Future   Mr Amit Sharma, MD and CEO of Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), led a forward-looking and high-impact panel at the #NIAS Workshop on India’s Nuclear Energy Mission 2047. The discussion focused on pathways to scale nuclear capacity to 100 GW while strengthening long-term energy security, improving climate performance and enabling sustainable national growth.   Mr Raghavan Ramadurai, Head of Power Business, and Mr Sachin Mishra, General Counsel and Company Secretary, TCE, presented perspectives on policy evolution, regulatory clarity, private-sector participation, talent development, and the innovation agenda required for the next phase of nuclear expansion.   TCE has more than five decades of experience across the whole nuclear engineering lifecycle and has contributed to nearly 85% of India’s civilian nuclear installed capacity through planning, design, engineering, technology and project support. The organisation has delivered Balance of Station solutions, mission-critical systems, digital plant modelling, and advanced simulation to enhance safety, reliability, and operational performance. TCE has also contributed to international nuclear programmes, including work related to ITER, demonstrating global exposure, research understanding, and engineering credibility.   Today, TCE is shaping new-age nuclear development through work on #SmallModularReactors (#SMR) and the #BharatSmallReactors (#BSR) initiative. These efforts are aimed at safe, modular, and scalable deployment in line with India’s #cleanenergy pathway and net-zero goals.
