We 💚our Atlanta community.
We feel so grateful to support local businesses like La Semilla in Atlanta, Georgia. A restaurant whose menu highlights seasonal ingredients with plant-based dishes inspired by the diverse cuisine of Latin America. We’re thrilled to see them recognized in the New York Time’s “25 Best Restaurants in Atlanta Right Now” just a few weeks ago! Read about it here: https://lnkd.in/gpi8c-tj 🎉
Thanks to our supporters for helping us continue our mission of uplifting small businesses and restaurants to provide nutritious meals in local communities.
My name is Reed Trapani, I'm the chef owner of La Semilla and I'm going to Georgia. We are a 100% plant based restaurant, but one of Latin culinary influence from Cuba, Mexico, South America. We ultimately have the responsibility and the opportunity every single day to to carry out our dreams. We started this restaurant with the name Last Samia and that we wanted to plan a seed of what plant based food and dining can be and that you can have a comparable restaurant experience that just happens to be plant based, whether you're vegan or not on a daily basis, guests come in and. Have their minds blown with the food and that they just didn't know that plant based food could taste this way. And then they come back and they tell their friends and that's the seed being planted. So we have some fresh tortilla chips that we just made. On Thursdays we do nachos and our nachos are very unique. They have a lot of different vegetable components on it. And so getting ready for tonight's dinner service will probably go through all of these big containers of chips just for our nachos. We want to support businesses that we believe in, support businesses that are giving back to the environment and ultimately we have the responsibility of. Choosing where our dollars go and that's a very important thing as a business owner. It keeps us creative and it keeps us, it keeps us motivated. I'm looking forward to the relationship with support and feed and being able to provide meals. I believe in the power of plant based food and I believe that they do as well and that it's nourishing, it's healthy, it's environmentally friendly. And all of those reasons are some of the pillars and foundations of why we decided to open up last in the end. And so having the opportunity to cook thoughtful, locally sourced, organic, healthy meals for people. To consume, I know that I'm, I'm empowering their lives. That's fuel. And it's not necessarily food too. It's it's keeping their, their cells alive and it's keeping them alive. And I, I, I have the huge responsibility of feeding someone.
