I'm a software engineer with one of our options trading teams. I work as a pond developer on the trading desk. I work in product and business development at Summit. I write a lot of code and I run trading strategies what I trade. Options. For example, you have you have your investments. And there's a chance that there's a big crash in the market or whatever in 30% of your investments that you have in the stock market get wiped out. I trade the products that are supposed to protect that. So on some days, you'll find me, you know, digging into the data, trying to see how the stocks move whenever an event occurs. Whereas on other days, I'm making the tools that help make this research possible. Most of my day is really just coding. I've been coding since I think I was 12 years old. I like to describe trading. It's like a mixture of cramming. For an exam and playing video games and monetary consequences so it's very like fast pace is like the cliche word that that people use but it's kind of true it just all happens very quickly and it begins when markets open or when you start trading and it ends at 4:00 PM or whatever No day is the same when the market opens I'll run some strategies and throughout the day I'll monitor them and I'll also code I help run strategic initiatives internally but also manage our. External relationships with exchanges, market data providers, and other technology vendors. I graduated from MIT with a degree in CS about a year ago. Before this I had two internships, one at Amazon, one at Apple. So I went to Syracuse University and studied information Management technology. After that I went to Fidelity Investments where I worked on. Capital markets technology ranging from crypto initiatives to market access platforms and prime brokerage solutions. I originally started out going to grad school in Chicago and then I moved to New York through an internship at a low latency options market making firm. I did my masters in Financial Engineering from University of California Berkeley and while studying there I also did my internship at Quantitative Brokers before I joined. I meant I was at AI Unicorn startup where we designed and built autonomous robots, and before that I was at NASA JPL where I was a mechanical engineer. I think being able to partner with the exceptional talent we have here, probably working with people, it's the collaboration within the team. Your work has immediate impact. My favorite would have to be my teammates. A fun fact about me, I like to play pool, so I'm part of a league here in Manhattan. So I'm actually a twin, twin sister. You have telepathy. Favorite type of music is really hard European techno music. I love that stuff. I listen to it all day everyday. If you walk by me in the office and you ask me what I'm listening to and I give you my phone, you will hear what sounds like machine noises. As my mom likes to say, it's probably the amount of travel. So I think at this point I've been to over 50 countries. I think working at Summit combines the best of a startup like culture, which would be, you know, lean and nimble teens with a ton of autonomy in your role. It's always like, you know you're working as a part of team to build something stronger together.
