UAE secures access to Nvidia’s most advanced AI chips! What It means for the region Big news in the AI and data center world: Microsoft has received U.S. government approval to ship over 60,000 of Nvidia’s most advanced GPUs (including the GB300 Grace Blackwell) to the UAE. These chips will power Microsoft’s AI infrastructure locally, supporting models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft itself as part of the company’s $15.2 billion technology investment in the country. The approval is significant: it follows strict export safeguards and comes alongside the UAE’s $1.4 trillion investment pledge in U.S. energy and AI-related projects. It’s another signal that the UAE is positioning itself as a serious global AI and data-center hub, not just through Khazna or G42, but now through partnerships with the biggest U.S. technology players. Beyond hardware, this moves underscores: - The growing strategic trust between Washington and Abu Dhabi. - The need for new hyperscale capacity to host AI workloads in the Gulf. - And the UAE’s ambition to lead in responsible, high-performance AI development. Curious to see how this reshapes regional competition. Particularly with Saudi and Qatar also scaling their AI infrastructure rapidly. #AI #DataCenters #UAE #Microsoft #Nvidia #Technology #DigitalTransformation #MiddleEast
