Bees play a vital role in maintaining biodiversity, and at STACK, we’re committed to supporting them. STACK’s beehive initiative supports local biodiversity in typically industrial areas, and efforts to restore declining pollinator populations – a vital cause, given that they are responsible for one-third of global food supply. Across our campuses in Oslo, Milan, and Zurich, we host 11 apiaries supporting over 660,000 bees. These hives not only produce STACK-branded honey but also serve as a platform for education and community engagement. We regularly host educational visits to our beehives for nearby schools, giving children hands-on opportunities to learn about the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems. From enriching natural habitats around our campuses to supporting education around biodiversity, our bees are part of something bigger. I think I have a mission here in my life and that it's to focus on bees. These are a great way of bringing a little bit of nature back onto our sites. These are critical for our our planet. It's 1/3 of everything we eat in our directly, a job that the bees have done in some way. So if the bees disappeared, then we have a big problem. Our work is to encourage nature to do their things, but also to manage these climate change, to help them to breathe, to live as well as possible. For us, the human part of the project is really important. We can use this apiary to get in touch with the school and to give them the opportunity to meet the bees, to also help the other to new something new about bees and in nature. I'm so happy that the Stack, it's taking the lead off that kind of initiative for the community around these sites and they giving a positive signal. Stack is committed to being net 0. By 2050. And so there's an internal education piece there as well to promote biodiversity across our organization.

We would love to partner on Bee Education. We are empowering Beekeepers across the USA to teach our kids about Bees and pollination. We are taking grant applications from Beekeepers and will provide them with an Observation Hive and Training Material. #SaveTheBeesUSA #StackInfrastructure
