EV charger and range anxiety is ‘stuck in people’s heads’ - It shouldn't be! https://lnkd.in/eMB45zhu Fast-charging along major U.S. corridors is finally catching up. Nearly 70% of the miles on the longest interstates now have chargers within 10 miles. That’s great progress but infrastructure success is about more than just corridor coverage. It’s also about financing affordable access where most of the miles actually happen: dense urban areas, depots, airports and rideshare hubs. #FleetElectrification #EVCharging #EVInfrastructure #RideshareEVs #ElectrifyFleets #LeaseToOwnEV

Fast charging access on America’s major highways continues to accelerate. Nearly 70% of the combined length of the 10 longest U.S. interstates is now within 10 miles of a fast charger. This is a meaningful milestone in reducing the practical barriers to long-distance EV travel. Read the full Fortune feature here: https://lnkd.in/gAcvFFtx While coverage continues to improve, consumer perception still needs to catch up. Range anxiety remains far more psychological than infrastructural on major corridors, and this is exactly where EV education becomes critical. Follow VELOZ for continued updates on EV consumer insights, infrastructure momentum, and education tools that support the transition to electric for all.

It’s so annoying when gas cars use the EV charging space as VIP parking! If you drive an EV, I’m sure you can relate. Well, New Jersey just ended the EV charging 'parking lot War' This is a critical, and long overdue, win for property owners and the burgeoning EV ecosystem. New Jersey has closed the loophole: If you're in an EV charging spot, your vehicle must be electric AND actively charging. No more "premium" parking for gas cars. No more "I'II be a minute" from non-charging EVs. The state is finally treating charging infrastructure like the critical utility it is. The Business Impact: 1) Reliability: Guarantees access for customers/ employees who depend on charging. 2) Efficiency: Protects the ROl on expensive charging infrastructure from misuse. 3) Less parking lot caos. This small policy change is a massive operational step forward in maintaining a functioning public charging network. Other states should follow suit. #EVcharging #NewJersey #Sustainability #CommercialRealEstate #ElectricVehicles #EV

The government's move to slash red tape for charging access, especially for renters and those without driveways is great news. It's the right move to make the EV shift accessible to everyone, not just homeowners. 👏 The goal is simple: unlock that crucial 2p per mile saving for thousands more households. 🏘️ The policy is a win, but it forces the industry to confront its true long-term challenge: — The proposals focus on volume, but we must ask if we're building today's infrastructure for tomorrow's problem. – We cannot just install basic charging points. If these sites aren't immediately V2G-ready and HEMS-aware, they can become a grid liability and prevent the owner from securing revenue. – The biggest challenge is fragmentation. The most successful solution won't be mandated hardware, it will be the software layer that unifies all these disparate assets. This unification delivers grid flexibility and reduces costs. What is the biggest challenge the industry faces in making these new 'shared access' charge points truly smart and profitable? 👇 You can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eFmBdEda

⚡ Charging Reality: Designed for Drivers Australia’s EV charging rollout is accelerating, but much of it still feels like it’s designed for the grid, not for the people using it. Too often, drivers find a single charger tucked behind a service station, poorly signposted, or blocked by other vehicles. Fast chargers that aren’t actually fast, unreliable payment systems, and limited amenities make long trips harder than they should be. The problem isn’t technology, it’s perspective. Building a charging network around real driver behaviour means thinking beyond kilowatts and cables. It’s about designing for comfort, reliability, and confidence: Safe, visible, well-lit locations. Multiple bays per site — not just one or two. Rest stops, food and shelter while charging. We don’t drive spreadsheets. We drive roads. At Vast, we’re building with that in mind. Our approach starts with the driver experience, not the data model. We do this because the transition to electric transport isn’t just about replacing fuel pumps with plugs. It’s about creating places that people actually want to stop. #ChargingReality #EVCharging #VastProject #EVTransition #ElectricVehicles #AustraliaEV #Infrastructure #DesignThinking #UserExperience #EnergyTransition #SustainableTransport #ServiceStation #EVServicestation #EVservices #Energy

Ultra-rapid EV charging just got a lot fairer. Be.EV is challenging the status quo with a new tariff that promises some of the UK’s most affordable public charging — a move aimed at drivers who don’t have off-street parking. This could reshape the economics of EV ownership, making public charging cheaper than petrol or diesel in many cases. Find out how Be.EV is making fast, flexible, and fair charging a reality for everyone: https://buff.ly/TmBr1EY #EVCharging #ElectricVehicles #CleanTransport #Sustainability #BeEV #Innovation
