One of the ways Shell makes a meaningful financial contribution to the countries where we operate is by paying taxes. We have published our seventh annual Tax Contribution Report, which is part of our drive to be transparent about the revenues and profits we have made in those countries, and the taxes that we have paid to those governments. Congratulations on the release of your 2024 report Claire Hotz de Baar

Fiscal transparency not only reinforces trust with governments and communities, but also reflects a genuine “social mortgage”: a commitment to reinvest in the countries where operations are conducted, generating development, well-being, and opportunities beyond core business activities. Congratulations to Shell for assuming this responsibility in such an open and consistent manner.

Doing business obligates partnership with the government and latter owns a significant portion to revenues. Right tax planning on deductibles and tax credits depending on the nature of your business will help you stay financially afloat.
