Day 10: Dashboard Creation in Excel Today, I focused on building dashboards in Excel using PivotTables, Macros, Slicers, and Timeline. These tools help transform raw data into interactive and insightful dashboards. Key highlights: PivotTables: Summarize and analyze large datasets quickly. Slicers: Add interactive filters for better data exploration. Timeline: Easily filter data by dates for dynamic analysis. Macros: Automate repetitive tasks to save time and improve efficiency. Using these features, I was able to create a dynamic Excel dashboard that makes data visualization faster and more intuitive.

Automating Financial KPIs and Learning Along the Way Over the past few weeks, I’ve been deep in financial analysis, automating KPI tracking, cleaning messy files, and building interactive Power BI dashboards. What started as a simple reporting cleanup turned into a bigger project: fixing inconsistent data sources, validating numbers, and making sure the metrics everyone looks at are actually reliable. The biggest lesson? Automation isn’t just about saving time; it’s about trusting your data. By streamlining our process, I’ve been able to: • Reduce repetitive manual work • Minimize reporting errors • Give the team real-time insights with clean dashboards I’m still refining DAX measures, improving visuals, and exploring better validation checks, but it’s rewarding to see how automation can turn data chaos into clarity. The Power BI dashboard is still a work in progress, and I’m excited to share it once it’s complete. My takeaway so far: A strong KPI system starts with clean data, consistent logic, and a culture that values accuracy as much as speed. Curious how you or your teams are approaching KPI automation and financial tracking? #PowerBI #FinancialAnalysis #DataAnalytics #Automation #Finance #BusinessIntelligence #KPI #DataVisualization #Analytics #ProcessImprovement

⚙️ The Art of Automation There was a time when updating reports meant long mornings of manual refreshes. Dozens of Excel files. Re-checking formulas. Cross-validating totals. Then came Power BI automation. One scheduled refresh — and my dashboards stayed alive, accurate, and up-to-date. No stress. No delays. Just real-time insights. Automation didn’t take my job; it gave me back my time. Now, I focus less on maintenance and more on meaning. 💡 Lesson: Automation removes repetition so you can focus on interpretation. ➡️ Question: What’s one repetitive task you’ve automated with Power BI? #PowerBI #Automation #Productivity #Finance #DataAnalytics #DigitalTransformation

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭: 𝐀 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 Building an effective dashboard isn’t just about numbers—it’s about turning raw data into clear, actionable insights. In a recent Excel project, I tackled this challenge by designing an automated dashboard that makes reporting faster, more accurate, and fully interactive. The journey started with structuring sheets into tables and cleaning the data for accuracy. Using Power Query, I connected multiple sources into a single unified model, then built relationships, created calculated columns and measures, and designed Pivot Tables with professional formatting. Interactive slicers and timelines were added for dynamic exploration, while macros automated data refreshes, keeping the dashboard always up-to-date. This project reinforced how a well-designed Excel data pipeline and automation can save time, reduce errors, and empower decision-makers to focus on strategy rather than manual reporting. #Excel #DataAnalytics #DashboardAutomation #BusinessIntelligence #DataVisualization #Automation #DataDriven
