We were building a new page for our platform. Every detail was discussed, documented, and crystal clear. The launch day came. Everything looked perfect on paper. But the moment it went live → The servers got overloaded. → Resources shot up instantly. → The system failed to perform as expected. It wasn’t a major design flaw. It wasn’t a missing requirement. It was a tiny oversight in programming style. That small miss made the entire difference. The experience taught me something crucial: ↳ Even small details can break big ambitions. ↳ “Crystal clear” in discussion doesn’t mean flawless in execution. ↳ Real learning happens in the post-mortem, not the plan. Since then, I’ve stopped chasing “perfect launches.” Instead, I focus on building systems that catch small misses early. Because in leadership and technology It’s rarely the big ideas that fail. It’s the little details we ignore.

Got a chance to argue this point on Web3Globals panel recently... are token launches today too engineered? Well... they are certainly MORE engineered than ever before. Launches now look more like IPOs than free markets. Private rounds, vesting schedules, liquidity management, and market makers all shape the way tokens enter the market. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. Engineering a launch can bring stability, reduce chaos, and create a more predictable environment for early investors. Free markets are brutal, and most projects would collapse instantly without some structure in place. At the same time, everyone has autonomy. Nobody is forced into an engineered launch. Investors can decide whether they prefer heavily structured launches with safeguards or raw free market launches where price discovery is immediate and unforgiving. The important part is transparency. As long as projects are clear about how their launches are structured, the market can decide what it values most. My take: engineering is not the enemy of free markets, it is one of the tools within them.

Day 21 - "If a project is truly innovative, you cannot possibly know its exact cost and exact schedule at the beginning.
