We have published the mid-term review of the National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030 - 5 years after it was released. The review shows there is improved national collaboration and the effective engagement with stakeholders to improve return to work outcomes. While feedback on work under the Strategy has been positive, return to work outcomes do not appear to be improving. Key findings: ✅ Strong support for national initiatives and research ⚠️ Mixed data results on progress against strategic outcomes 🧠 Concerns over rising psychological injury claim rates 📈 Improvements to data and measurement are underway The Strategy remains fit for purpose and will continue guiding national efforts to support injured workers. 👉 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/dfbGVMAZ

Safe Work Australia has released the Mid-Term Review of the National Return to Work Strategy 2020–2030. Overall, the review has found that the strategy remains fit for purpose and is being used to address key national challenges to improve return-to-work outcomes. Significantly, the review showed that the strategy "has influenced national collaboration and broader recognition, and has informed and guided stakeholder actions to improve return-to-work outcomes for workers with a work-related injury or illness". At KINNECT, we wholeheartedly believe in the power of collaboration between compensation schemes, workplace rehabilitation providers, employers, workers and the medical profession. When these parties all work together towards a common goal with clear communication and an individualised plan, a worker's path to recovery is considerably smoother and more successful. You can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gK_VFmKT.

Excited to see our paper now in Early View at the Journal of Accounting Research! This project started in 2018 when I was a second-year PhD student at the University of Rochester—seven years in the making. It has been a rewarding journey with Ray from our PhD days to faculty life. We are extremely grateful to the editor, reviewers, discussants, mentors, colleagues, and friends who helped shape this work along the way. Key idea: We use network analysis of compensation peer disclosures to map the managerial labor market. From these disclosures, we build (i) new labor market classifications that identify who competes for executive talent, and (ii) competition measures that quantify how intense that competition is. These network-based measures outperform traditional benchmarks in predicting executive moves, help explain pay design, and allow sharper tests of related theories. We view this as an empirical toolkit for future research on managerial labor markets and compensation. A short overview is available at the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance: https://lnkd.in/eqSHnvUk.

Cost-Benefit Analysis Tool Helpful with: Building and maintaining motivation Every behavior has both benefits and costs, even the ones you want to change. The Cost-Benefit Analysis tool helps you see both sides clearly so you can make decisions that align with your values. It helps you explore what you gain and give up, compare short-term relief with long-term outcomes, and notice patterns that either support or hold you back. Start by writing down the benefits and costs of both doing and not doing your behavior. Label each as short-term or long-term to see the bigger picture. A broken labor system drains profits and increases stress. A strategic approach restores both financial health and operational peace of mind. The true goal of an ideal labor budget is maximizing productivity, eliminating waste while optimizing output and quality. The budget must be achievable, realistic, and profitable while prioritizing quality. What if the ideal labor budget not only improves the bottom line but also fosters a healthier and more productive work environment? #LaborSystem #Productivity #FinancialHealth #OperationalEfficiency
