So many of my business contacts are interested in compliance, including Paul Wallis that I thought you'd appreciate this article. Even though it is #defence orientated, the information applies to any organisation in an environment where #compliance is vital.
In Defence, compliance monitoring and reporting should build confidence — not more paperwork. The latest in our series of articles about digitisation in compliance, we look at how important automation is for reliable, audit-ready reporting, and how to avoid the pitfalls of over-automation. We also show how our Digital Evidence Builder (DEB) tool helps compliance teams to focus on the content of documentation rather than administering it. Behind every audit trail are people working hard to keep data accurate, evidence organised, and reports credible, but when systems are disconnected, even the best teams spend too much time chasing information. Digital tools can help — if they’re designed for the realities of highly regulated environments. Read how DEB does this. https://lnkd.in/eGhTskqM

Great to attend my first ADS Digital Transformation in Aerospace & Defence (DTAD) Steering Group session this morning. Thanks to Reuben Gomez from ADS Group and Andrew Brough at Siemens Congleton. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend in person due to my little man surprising us six weeks earlier than planned, but I joined virtually and found the session incredibly valuable. Big thanks to Simon Powell (Digital Standards Alliance), Trev Nicholl (Shoestring), and Kurt Roosen (EDM Council) for sharing knowledge on digital solutions, data governance, and the future of standards. Simon highlighted the challenge of managing large portfolios of static standards with slow review cycles, and introduced a compelling vision for the future, "standards as machine interpretable and interoperable assets." This aligns perfectly with our work at tlmNexus. Our Digital Evidencer Builder (DEB), enables structured compliance against digital standards, MAA MRP, and other frameworks, helping aerospace and defence organisations manage and demonstrate compliance in a consistent, scalable way. 🔗 Read more below If you're interested in learning more or arranging a demo, feel free to reach out to me or my colleague, Dave Kilbride. #DigitalTransformation #DigitalStandards #ComplianceManagement #Aerospace #Defence #ADS #tlmNexus #DEB

Direct Reporting in 3 words: Cost. Control. Compliance. Article 26(7) always gave you the right to report direct, now the technology has caught up. Regulated firms are now taking back control of their data. For years, many regulated firms have relied on third-party intermediaries to submit their MiFIR and EMIR reports. But that model is changing - fast. Direct reporting isn’t just about connectivity to the regulator - it’s about lineage, auditability, and trust. When reports are generated directly from a firm’s golden-source systems, every field can be traced back to its origin. That means: ✅ Full data lineage: you know exactly where each value came from. ✅ Better audit evidence: you can show regulators a clear end-to-end process. ✅ Stronger governance and control: issues are detected and resolved internally, not via third parties. Direct reporting also improves data quality and operational resilience. By removing unnecessary hand-offs, firms reduce complexity, errors, and delays - creating a more transparent and efficient reporting environment. The message is clear: control your data, and you control your compliance. As more regulators adopt ISO 20022 and harmonised data models, direct reporting isn’t just a technical option - it’s becoming the strategic foundation for modern regulatory reporting. #RegTech #MiFIR #EMIR #DataQuality #DirectReporting #Compliance #OperationalResilience #AuditTrail

🚨 The Age of “Good Enough” Compliance Is Over For years, firms have been trapped in a cycle ✅ Patch a process here ✅ Add a check there ✅ Hope it’s enough to pass the audit But the truth is… “good enough” doesn’t cut it anymore. We’ve entered an era where compliance isn’t just about meeting the standard. It’s about setting it. At Firmcheck, we’re not chasing the industry. We’re building the framework that will define it. Real-time visibility. Zero friction. Compliance that actually strengthens trust instead of slowing it down. The firms that understand this shift are already moving. They’re using technology not as a tool, but as a strategic weapon that turns compliance from a cost into a competitive advantage. And for the ones still relying on legacy systems, manual checks, and “how we’ve always done it”? That window is closing fast. This isn’t evolution. This is a revolution in responsibility and it’s already here. 🔥 At Firmcheck, we don’t just believe in compliance done better. We believe in compliance done brilliantly. #Compliance #AML #Fintech #RegTech #Innovation #Leadership #DigitalTransformation #RiskManagement #FCA #DueDiligence #BusinessGrowth #Automation #FutureOfCompliance #Firmcheck #Trust #TechForGood #SmartCompliance #FinancialServices #ComplianceRevolution
