Today at 11am, Senior Manager Aviation Safety Training, Sam, will pause and observe a minute's silence. It's something Sam has done every Remembrance Day since leaving the Royal Australian Air Force, where she spent 27 years flying C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster aircraft. "Remembrance Day is a moment to reflect on the cost of peace," Sam says. "It's important that current and future generations understand and learn from the sacrifices of the past." Sam's military career took her through leadership roles at tactical, operational and strategic levels. But it's the lessons from those years that really matter today. "In defence, I learned that when it comes to safety, we must train harder than we fight. That mindset carries through to my work at Qantas, by being uncompromising and unapologetic in how we manage risk." It's this philosophy that Sam brings to aviation safety training every day.
Legend Samantha F. so great to see!
Hey Qantas, why is it that you are so active on social media but when it comes to responding to serious customer care complaints, such as the one I submitted 2 days ago where myself and my infant daughter were significantly impacted by your airlines incompetence, I just receive radio silence? I'd love to actually speak with someone from your organisation and receive some actual customer care - instead of having to resort to commenting on your social media posts..
Huge valuable story Sam
We miss you Sam
