🔮 “This Is How the AI Bubble Will Pop” — And Why It’s a Lesson for All of Us Derek Thompson’s essay strikes a chord—AI infrastructure spending is exploding, but the economics and expectations feel uneasily out of sync. We’re building an AI world at the pace of a new Apollo program, but the returns haven’t always matched the hype. derekthompson.org ⚠️ What Hits Home 💸 The scale is staggering: companies will spend hundreds of billions on infrastructure, yet the consumer revenue tied to AI services seems modest by comparison. derekthompson.org 🏗️ New AI firms are raising funds without clear products—capital chasing promise, not performance. derekthompson.org 🔍 The concern: what happens when momentum overtakes fundamentals? The narrative suggests we might see recalibrations, bubbles deflating, and only those built on sustainable value surviving. derekthompson.org 🌱 A Human-Centered Reflection Behind every dollar in AI spend lies human ambition, risk, and hope. 👩💻 Engineers, researchers, and builders are moving fast—but they deserve guardrails, realism, and clarity. 🧠 Investors, leaders, communities—they must demand ROI, not just story. 💕 And users—those AI aims to serve—should not be collateral damages in speculative cycles. 👉 My question to you: As AI expands, how do we retain humility, discernment, and steady judgement so we don’t get caught in the boom-and-bust? #AI #Bubble #TechEconomics #Infrastructure #Sustainability #Innovation #HumanCenteredTech #NeoSOFT #ArtificialIntelligence #Automation #AITrends #AI #HumanCenteredAI #Productivity #Innovation #AgenticAI #RAG #GenerativeAI #LangChain #OpenAI #AIInnovation #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #VisionToExecution #LLM #VectorDatabases #AIProductDevelopment #FutureOfWork #LinkedInLearning #HuggingFace #DeepLearning #Healthcare #Chatbot #LangGraph #LangSmith #MCP #VectorDB #FAISS #ChromaDB #Pinecone #Weaviate #Qdrant #Recruitment #CareerTech #Nvidia #RubinCPX #K2Think #UAE #Oracle #CloudComputing #Stargate #LLMs #AIInfrastructure #TechTrends #ConversaTube #Whisper #YouTubeAI #ModelContextProtocol #AIArchitecture #TalentSphere #JobSeeker #HRTech #Jobs #Reskilling #Wearables #MetaConnect #LiveTech #ProductDesign #HumanAspect #FutureOfTech #Startups #India #Accelerator #MultimodalAI #ResponsibleAI #GoogleForStartups #H1B #Immigration #TechTalent #SkilledMigration #GlobalWorkforce #PolicyImpact #HumanCost #Meta #Infrastructure #Hardware #TechInnovation #FutureOfDevices #UX #Design #ConsumerTech #AmbientAI #HuaweiCloud #Developers #IndustrialAI #PanguModels #IndianIT #Upskilling #WorkforceTransformation #Semiconductors #Intel #FutureOfComputing #CPU #GPU #TechIndustry #ComputeInfrastructure #FutureOfAI #Scalability #TechPartnerships #AndhraPradesh #TechExpansion #Impact #IndiaTech #Accenture #Growth #GenAI #HCLTech #Automotive #DigitalTransformation #FutureOfMobility #Alibaba #Qwen3Max #TechLeadership #TrillionParameterModel #Adobe

The No Code AI and Machine Learning course from Great Learning is one of the most valuable learning experiences I have had in a long time. Although the platform was marketed as no-code, this experience taught me the value of low-code development in accelerating data analytics and machine learning workflows. Using KNIME, I was able to visually design complex pipelines while also incorporating custom logic and advanced techniques through low-code components when needed. This hybrid approach gave me both flexibility and control—enabling me to clean and transform data, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights without being limited by drag-and-drop tools alone. It reinforced how platforms like KNIME empower analysts to think like data scientists and bridge the gap between technical depth and business usability.

With the arrival of GenAI summaries, the journey from headline to homepage has been rerouted. PR is no longer about crafting the right story, it’s about ensuring the story is seen, surfaced and accurately represented by systems most people don’t control -- Zareen Fidlon, PAN https://odwpr.us/4nGglIH

✨ New publication out ✨ So early into my academic career and I already get to experience the joy of seeing the fruit of work started ❗ years ago ❗becoming available for others to read. All thanks to Jannie Møller Hartley who back in 2022 hired me as Research Assistant in the DiRec project, effectively fueling my academic dream. I got to get my hands dirty in research as I was applying to do my PhD, and this article is just one example of the many interesting things I got to do and brilliant people I got to collaborate with. Together with Árni Már Einarsson, Stine Lomborg, and Johannes Kruse we studied how news users experience and evaluate algorithmic personalization by letting users interact with an ad-hoc developed recsys. We exposed participants to recommendations based on their news use, and then we interviewed them both individually and collectively about their experiences and their thoughts about implications of personalized news. Our findings suggest that users feel responsible for shaping their news experience. You can read the article here: https://lnkd.in/dPYt9CtQ
Some years back we initiated a collab between different projects at Copenhagen Uni and RUC (thanks Villum Fonden) and the Platform Intelligence in News project with the Danish media organisation Ekstra Bladet. We wanted to examine how news users experience personalisation - real time. It was a complicated experimental method setup and now finally, years later, the fruits of our efforts are out in Journalism Practice - thanks for the fun ride to Stine Lomborg Árni Már Einarsson Elisabetta Petrucci and Johannes Kruse plus special thanks to Kasper Lindskow: https://lnkd.in/dWdt_8sJ

The real question is, after 300 hours of study, are humans on par with AI for the exam. Clearly depends on the human. Food for thought: https://lnkd.in/eQ6f_gfn https://lnkd.in/ethyTaAq Key Takeaways: LLMs on CFA Level III Exam Main Achievement Frontier LLMs now pass CFA Level III exams- o4-mini (79.1%), Gemini 2.5 Pro (75.9%), and Claude Opus 4 (74.9%) all exceed the ~65% passing threshold, marking significant progress in advanced financial reasoning. Performance Insights MCQs are commoditized: Top models cluster at 71-75% accuracy with little differentiation Essays differentiate leaders: Complex essay questions requiring synthesis and strategic thinking separate frontier models from others Reasoning models outperform: Reasoning-enhanced models score 73.7% vs 61.8% for non-reasoning on essays Prompting Strategy Matters Chain-of-Thought (CoT) with self-consistency yields best results Performance gains come at steep costs: 3-11x more expensive and 3x slower than zero-shot Self-Discover underperforms on essays despite working well for MCQs Grading Discrepancy Human graders are 5.6 points more lenient than LLM-graders on average, though both agree 70% of the time. This reveals systematic biases in automated LLM-based evaluation. Practical Deployment Implications Suggests tiered approach: use faster, cheaper models for routine queries; reserve expensive reasoning models for complex analytical tasks requiring deep financial expertise.

🙌 New Blog Post Just Dropped! 🙌 As a Technical Project Manager, I’m constantly juggling inputs—from whiteboard scribbles and sticky notes to Slack messages and hallway conversations. Sound familiar? I recently came across this great video by @ScottFriesen from Simpletivity on how to use ChatGPT to consolidate scattered tasks—even handwritten ones—and turn them into a clean, prioritized list. The best part? It’s actually practical. No gimmicks. Just smart use of AI to reduce friction in your day. Inspired by that, I wrote a blog post breaking down how I now apply this workflow as a TPM to: ✅ Capture fragmented to-dos from everywhere (including paper) ✅ Eliminate duplicates and noise ✅ Auto-prioritize tasks ✅ Get everything into my backlog tool (without retyping) It's saving me time daily and reducing the mental clutter that comes with multi-channel chaos. If you’re in tech, product, or project management, this method might be the simple system you didn’t know you needed. #TechnicalProjectManagement #ChatGPT #AIProductivity #Simpletivity #TaskManagement #TPMLife #ProjectManagementTools #ProductivityTips #AIInWork 👉 Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/eP4bbf43

AI: Not Replacing Teachers, But Rewiring Brains for a Better Future 🧠💡 Forget the fear that AI is replacing teachers—it's actually proving to be one of the most powerful tools for personalized learning and cognitive development we've ever seen. The results are undeniable: In correctional facilities, prisoners using AI tutors showed a staggering 40% improvement in reading scores and a 50% reduction in re-offense rates. This isn't just about tutoring; it's about fixing a root cause. Why this dramatic change? Personalized AI learning adapts to how your brain thinks, not how the traditional one-size-fits-all school system expects you to think. It identifies and bridges those fundamental cognitive gaps that often lead to poor decision-making and, ultimately, crime. When a brain can process information better, it makes better choices. The result is a cycle of positive change: Literacy rises, recidivism drops. This is the true power of smart tech creating smarter futures.
