#UPThighlight - New insights driving sustainable airport mobility ✈️🌍 Erasmus UPT joined partners at Brussels Airport for the Stargate General Assembly: a key checkpoint to align progress and upcoming actions across the consortium. A major highlight was the presentation of initial findings of the Stargate passenger mobility survey. Already gathering 1,891+ responses across participating airports, with more to come as the campaign continues into next year. First outcomes show strong awareness but limited readiness to change without incentives, a clear example of the “Passenger Paradox”. We are excited to keep exploring how airports can bridge this gap through innovation, communication, and partnership! #StargateEU #SustainableMobility #PassengerInsights #AirportInnovation #DataDriven #EUGreenDeal #BrusselsAirport #UptErasmus

Smart Airport Upgrade in Southern Taiwan Southern Taiwan’s busiest airport is getting a major digital upgrade. SITA has partnered with the airport to introduce next-generation passenger-processing systems: self-service check-in (CUSS), common-use terminals (CUTE), and a new backup operations platform (LDCS). These tools aim to improve passenger flow, reduce waiting times, and make airport operations more resilient — a key step toward a smarter, greener future for Asia’s aviation network. This is also a significant multi-airport win for SITA in the region and will increase the number of global sites using its Airport Management Solution (AMS) to 165. ✈️ Innovation isn’t just in the air — it starts on the ground! #Aviation #SmartAirport #PassengerExperience #SITA #TravelTech

Airports in the Middle East are entering a defining phase of global connectivity. With passenger numbers set to triple by 2040 and over USD 150 billion in planned expansion, the region is poised to become one of the world’s most dynamic aviation hubs. To capture this growth, airports need more than infrastructure. They need clear, structured incentive frameworks that align stakeholders, attract strategic partners, and drive sustainable long-term value. Our latest publication explores how airports can design these frameworks effectively, moving from ambition to action and transforming themselves into engines of national growth. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dx4nicQ2 #RolandBerger #Aviation #MiddleEast #Infrastructure #Sustainability Casper Veenman Gabriel Schillaci Usman Tahir
