Even the most experienced clinicians can find neonatal intubation challenging – but new PCHF-funded research and equipment are helping to change that. 💙👶 Neonatal intubation is a delicate procedure often performed in high-pressure emergency situations to help newborns breathe by inserting a tiny tube into their windpipe. Led by Dr Sachin Agrawal, Child and Adolescent Health Service researchers have developed a new training program to boost clinician competence, confidence, and calm during this life-saving procedure. Published in the Pediatric Research journal earlier this year, the program improves “first-pass” success (getting the tube in right the first time), leading to better outcomes for our tiniest patients, including premature babies, through: 📹 Video-laryngoscopy – guiding intubation with a small camera 🔁 Rapid cycle deliberate practice – mastering skills through short, focused practice with immediate feedback 👩⚕️Just-in-time training – practicing on manikins right before real procedures 🧠 Stress management strategies – helping clinicians stay calm under pressure Learn more or donate via https://lnkd.in/gQzvXyZa #NeonatalCare #Paediatrics #MedicalInnovation #NeonatalIntubation #Intubation | Dr Chandra Rath | Prof. Shripada Rao | Prof.Sanjay Patole | Dr Abhijeet Rakshasbhuvankar
