Wholeheartedly agree with these. Especially David’s. When I was a secondary mathematics teacher, one of the hardest battles was conveying to students that trigonometry is not the only thing you are learning here: you are learning to problem solve; learning to critically think; learning to learn even when it is uncomfortable and challenging.
