Parameter’s Post

This Week in AI: Arm announces adoption of NVLink Fusion, NVIDIA’s breakout interconnect platform that allows users to pair custom CPUs with NVIDIA GPUs. NVIDIA continues to dominate as one of the world’s biggest GPU providers for AI tools, but until recently, many hyperscalers have been limited by the incompatibility of their custom hardware with NVIDIA GPUs. Earlier this year, NVIDIA launched NVLink Fusion, which allows clients to more easily integrate NVIDIA GPUs with semi-custom CPUs designed by partners. Companies like MediaTek, Synopsys Inc, and Fujitsu have already been deploying NVLink Fusion, but the partnership with Arm is pivotal because major hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Google, and Alibaba Group all use custom hardware based on Arm designs. They’ll now be able to keep their custom CPUs while enjoying expanded access to NVIDIA’s industry leading products for AI operations. The popularity of NVLink Fusion suggests that hyperscalers are ready for a more unified and universal AI landscape with NVIDIA at the helm. As AI technology becomes more interdependent, the need for comprehensive facility monitoring is still paramount. Parameter remains an essential tool for achieving the visibility needed to protect entire data center ecosystems. Swipe to learn more about Arm’s strategic adoption of NVLink Fusion and what it means for AI infrastructure. #DataCenters #Arm #NVIDIA #NVLinkFusion
