We’ve just published a snapshot of where robotics is heading in 2025 - and the shift is clear. Robotics is moving from isolated use cases to real-world deployment across logistics, hospitals, manufacturing and human-centred environments. The headline isn’t “more robots.” It’s integrated systems: sensing, mobility, manipulation, simulation and oversight working together, on the floor, under real constraints. Logistics wants flexibility. Healthcare wants precision without friction. Manufacturers want collaboration, not cages. And humanoids are progressing because the built world was designed for people, not machines. If you're working in research, investment or industrial adoption, these shifts matter. They point to where scale is likely to happen - and where it will stall. Full infographic: Robotics in 2025: from warehouse floors to operating theatres and humanoids - link in comments below

🤖 Robots just got way smarter at pushing things around—literally. Researchers introduced C3+, an upgraded contact-implicit model predictive control algorithm that lets robots push single and multiple objects with incredible precision. The system scans objects, reconstructs their geometry, and uses advanced trajectory optimization to handle complex contact interactions. On hardware tests, it achieved 98% success across 33 different object types, completing multi-object tasks in minutes. • Why it matters: Non-prehensile manipulation (pushing, sliding, rotating) is fundamental to real-world robotics—from warehouse automation to collaborative assembly. This breakthrough enables robots to handle diverse, unpredictable objects without pre-programming, bringing us closer to truly adaptable automation.
