🚀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟒/𝟏𝟓 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞. 🚀 Today covered the full spectrum of data analysis, from getting data into Excel to making predictions with it. Here's a breakdown of what I learned: 💡 𝐆𝐞𝐭 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 (𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐲): Explored the powerful tools for importing and cleaning data from external sources like PDFs and websites. 💡 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞 & 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Dove into a host of functions like WORKDAY, DATEDIF, YEAR, MONTH, etc., to manipulate and calculate with dates. 💡 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Learned to create scatter plots to visualize the relationship between two variables and use Excel's Analysis ToolPak to run a basic linear regression. 𝐌𝐲 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲: Excel is more than just a spreadsheet; it's a full-fledged data tool. Power Query for data ingestion and the built-in regression capabilities show just how deep its analytical power goes. #15DayExcelChallenge #DataAnalysis #Excel #PowerQuery #Regression #LearningInPublic

Everyone sees the dashboard. No one sees the 5 hours of cleaning, 3 false starts, and 20 failed DAX formulas. 😅 As data professionals, we’re often judged by the final visualization, the clean charts, perfect filters, and polished insights. But behind every dashboard is a story most people never see: Endless data cleaning and formatting. Building and rebuilding the data model until the relationships finally make sense. Troubleshooting the “why don’t these totals match?” mystery that haunts every Power BI project at least once. Rewriting the same DAX measure three different ways just to get the right context. And those small aha moments when the model finally clicks and the visuals come to life. What looks like a “simple” dashboard is usually the result of hours of iteration, problem solving, and rethinking, not just technical skill but persistence. And that’s the part I’ve grown to love the most, the process between the lines. #DataAnalytics #PowerBI #DashboardDesign #DataModeling #DAX #DataVisualization #LearningJourney #BehindTheScenes #DataCommunity

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 + 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗜 ⚡ Ever tried using a measure like [Total Sales] > 500 inside CALCULATE()… and got that frustrating error? 😵💫 Here’s the truth — CALCULATE can’t directly use measures for filtering. It needs row context to understand which rows qualify, and that’s exactly what FILTER() provides! 💪 This simple trick transforms your DAX logic — enabling row-by-row measure evaluation and delivering accurate results every time. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 👇 ✅ CALCULATE modifies filter context, not row context ✅ Use FILTER() when your logic involves a measure ✅ Simplify slicers with SELECTEDVALUE() instead of complex IF conditions ✅ Mastering context transition unlocks true DAX power! Big thanks 🙏 to Shashank Singh 🇮🇳 from Learnwidgiggs for inspiring these practical Power BI deep-dives! #PowerBI #DAX #DataAnalytics #Codebasics #PowerBITips #DataModeling #MeasureLogic #ContextTransition #FILTERFunction #CALCULATE

💡 When it comes to working with data, not every task requires SQL sometimes, spreadsheets are simply the smarter choice. Here are some perfect situations where you should choose Spreadsheets over SQL ⬇️ 📊 Your data is small or one-time use ⚡ You need speed and zero setup 🤝 You want to collaborate easily with teammates 📈 You need to visualize or present data quickly ✏️ Your work is iterative or constantly changing 🗣️ Your audience doesn’t understand SQL 💰 You’re focused on cost and accessibility ⌨️ You need fast manual data entry 👉 In short: SQL is best for scalability, automation, and complex analysis. Spreadsheets are unbeatable for quick insights, collaboration, and flexibility. Both have their strengths — the key is knowing when to use which! #Excel #SQL #DataAnalytics #Spreadsheets #DataTools #LearningData #BusinessAnalytics
