And having a growing number of aging adults adopting GLP-1s bone loss with rapid muscle loss is also a concern. A good educational program to support patients is critical to their long-term health and success.

Anyone who loses weight and doesn't work like hell to maintain muscle will have muscle loss - not just those taking GLP-1s. Muscle is easy fuel in a calorie deficit. Pair that with less weight/mass to move around & you have muscle loss. If biomarkers, mobility, & disease states improve; the real question is how much muscle loss is acceptable?
