This discussion was a masterclass in how credit unions should be thinking about AI right now. My biggest takeaway? The power of the human-machine hybrid model. Led by moderator Mary Wisniewski, the panelists—Michelle Prohaska, NCCO, NCRM, CRCM, Paolo Teotino, and Christie Kimbell—made it clear that AI should automate the routine, low-risk tasks, freeing up human staff to focus on high-touch, emotionally complex, and empathy-driven member interactions. This balance is where the real value lies.
