Nature's Bakery opens new facility in Salt Lake City

Ballarat Food Manufacturing, a subsidiary of the Yida Group, will move into Brookfield Properties’ Cardinia Logistics Estate at Pakenham, Victoria, with production expected to begin in mid-2026. According to a statement from real estate developer and operator Brookfield on Tuesday, the food company has secured a five-year lease for its first manufacturing site in Australia. Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced that the Dover Food Retail family of companies will invest over $20 million to expand its Virginia operations by relocating its Anthony® brand manufacturing from Sylmar, Calif., to its Chesterfield County campus. This investment is projected to create more than 300 new jobs in the Commonwealth, reinforcing Virginia’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing. The sector saw a total of 53 new projects including expansions and equipment upgrades, with major investments in states like Florida, Wisconsin, and Ohio. Notably, Atlantic Sapphire is leading with a $350 million facility expansion in Miami. - 33 new processing facility projects and 24 distribution/warehouse projects were initiated. - Largest project: $350 million expansion by Atlantic Sapphire in Miami, FL. - Top states for projects include Florida, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
