I got this question last week in our live session: "Should I be buying Meta ads or invest in my own app?" If you can only afford one, invest in an app. Why? + Apps drive 33% more monthly active members with 59% returning weekly + Apps are durable and build a habit + Apps remove friction + Apps make it likely that your members will share and invite I run a team that buys Meta and Google ads, so I know this world well. It's INCREDIBLY hard to get right. It's INCREDIBLY expensive to get wrong. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, they are fleeting. You have absolutely nothing to show for them. If you're launching something new, an app will give you a shot at BOTH brand awareness AND building a habit. Then, once you get it working, you can think about ads.
