“Innovation can come from anywhere. I’ve lived it.”
As a mom navigating Medicaid for her daughters’ chronic conditions, Emily Brown saw the gaps in our food and healthcare systems firsthand. Today, as founder and CEO of Attane Health, she’s building the tech and partnerships to close those gaps.
We’re proud to recognize Emily as a 2025 Spark Prize awardee. Her vision is bold, her results are measurable, and her leadership is reshaping what health care looks like across Missouri and beyond.

About my journey, I would say that it's not unique, but it is compelling. You know, just 10 years ago I was a mom on Medicaid and now I'm a venture backed CEO building a company to serve Medicaid patients. And so it's just a reminder that innovation can come from anywhere. I think whenever you have an award like this, it brings awareness to the good work of so many individuals who have just kind of had their head down. And I believe this recognition will be important, not only raising awareness of the work that a team does here in Missouri, but beyond, I believe the work that the Missouri Foundation for Health and Conversion, health foundations like this one are really critical and can play a critical role in accelerating innovation.
