We’re committed to providing person-centred, trauma-informed care and advocating for better outcomes for older people facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and disadvantage. Mission Australia’s Ben Carblis, Deputy CEO and Stephen Brooker, General Manager Aged Care met with Sam Rae, Minister for Aged Care and Seniors, to discuss how we can work together to support older Australians - especially those experiencing homelessness or complex needs. We highlighted our Strategy 2030 goals, including expanding our specialised Aged Care facilities and delivering more tailored housing and support for those most in need. We look forward to inviting Minister Rae to visit our Aged Care facilities to meet with our residents and staff and enjoy a Maggie Beer Foundation inspired lunch.
Great to see you working together to support older Australians, especially those experiencing homelessness and complex needs. We're inspired by your Strategy 2030 goals and commitment to person-centred care.
Well done it’s at the cold face where we need to advocate for those that don’t have a voice and seek the funding that is needed. Plus in the areas where MA strategic plan lays .
