Yup, it happens! -If you’re using AWS AI services, here’s a spicy secret: by default, AWS may use and store your data to improve its AI systems (like for model training or debugging). 😊 But don’t panic — you can opt out using AWS Organizations AI services opt-out policies. As a cybersecurity professional, I’m excited to see our sister company Two Point O , part of De Cronos Groep, take Cloudflare edge-native computing to new heights. Their latest insight piece captures a shift we’ve been anticipating — from cloud-first to edge-native architectures. Here are my key takeaways from a security and architectural standpoint: 1. Security shifts left — and out. Running logic at the edge brings compute closer to users, but also moves trust boundaries. Cloudflare’s integrated security posture (WAF, DDoS, Zero Trust) helps reduce exposure compared to stitching together multi-cloud defenses. 2. AI inference belongs at the edge. Latency-sensitive use cases — from personalization to fraud detection — demand real-time AI decisions. Processing at 300+ edge locations means you’re not trading privacy for performance. 3. Hyperscalers are not the only future. Cloud will always have its place, but agility, cost predictability, and built-in security make the edge a powerful complement — especially for organizations that want control without complexity.
