Technology can open doors, but it’s human leadership — built on empathy, vision, and the courage to take risks — that ensures we don’t become prisoners of the technical. The future belongs to those who can unite strategy with humanity.—-tecnologia pode abrir caminhos, mas é a liderança humana — feita de empatia, visão e coragem para arriscar — que garante que não ficamos prisioneiros da técnica. O futuro pertence a quem sabe unir estratégia com humanidade.
Inspiring stories!!
Really enjoyed this post—so many relatable insights. The shift from being the “best coder in the room” to someone who can lead with empathy, strategy, and vision is spot on. I’ve seen this firsthand while building AI-driven platforms and leading cross-functional teams. Leadership today is about enabling others, not just solving problems yourself. Thanks for sharing these stories—they’re both inspiring and grounding.
AI can unintentionally harm vulnerable groups if deployed carelessly (bias, exclusion etc). Empathy in many aspects discussed in article means putting yourself in the shoes of those affected by asking: “If I were on the receiving end of this decision, would it feel fair, transparent, empowering?” Key is getting AI to augment human capabilities, not replacing them totally.
Very inspiring! Thank you for your openness and for sharing your valuable stories, with that human touch that will always make the difference! 🩵
Parabéns pela contribuição, Marina Brandão! 💙👏🏼

1moGreat insights in this article – I can relate to many of the points shared. 1. The path to a leadership role in tech is rarely a straight line - In my own journey, I started in operations, moved into IT project management, and eventually became a tech leader. My background in operations and process excellence gave me a strong foundation to understand business needs and explain tech solutions in a language that resonates with stakeholders. 2. I also agree that the best leaders provide clarity, set strategy, guide teams through change, and build genuine connections. In the data team I built, clarity was fundamental – not just in setting goals once, but in consistently explaining them to team members and stakeholders, connecting them to daily work, and standing by the team through times of change. 3. Finally, the reminder about human skills in the age of AI really resonates: growth mindset, storytelling and creating bond with others, and most importantly, empathizing with others. These are what make leaders truly impactful.
