Google’s Quantum Leap: A Wake-Up Call for India’s Innovation Policy Google’s latest #quantum computing chip, #Willow, has quietly but decisively pushed the world into a new era of #computation. From achieving “quantum supremacy” last year to now demonstrating quantum advantage – computing the structure of a molecule 13,000 times faster than a top-tier supercomputer – this is no longer a laboratory curiosity. Quantum computing has crossed the threshold of usability. The power to accelerate breakthroughs in medicine, materials, and energy is now tangibly within reach. Equally, the risks – from #cybersecurity to defence applications – are enormous. Countries that lag in this domain risk strategic and #technological dependence for decades to come. While global players such as the US and China are investing billions, India’s #NationalQuantumMission remains at $700 million over seven years. Our #privatesector contribution to R&D continues to hover below 40%, and national spending remains under 1% of GDP. These numbers are not commensurate with our aspirations to be a #global technology leader. If India is to have a seat at the quantum table, the time for #policy vision and industry participation is now. India must treat quantum #research as strategic infrastructure, demanding stronger public #investment and deeper industry #collaboration. Quantum computing is not just another #technology race – it is a race for the future architecture of knowledge, security, and power. #QuantumComputing #InnovationPolicy #IndiaTech #PublicPolicy #DigitalTransformation #EmergingTech #ResearchAndDevelopment #FutureOfTechnology IIPA (Official) Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology S Krishnan

13,000x faster. Verifiable. Quantum. ⚡ That’s not a headline. That’s history being written, in superposition. We’ve heard about quantum supremacy before. But supremacy was just performance. This one’s about proof. Google just dropped a bomb called Quantum Echoes, the first-ever verifiable quantum advantage. And it changes everything. Imagine this, A quantum processor runs a complex physics simulation in 2 hours. The world’s fastest supercomputer? Needs 3.2 years to do the same. That’s 13,000x faster. But here’s the catch, Speed wasn’t the real breakthrough. Verification was. Google’s new Willow chip doesn’t just compute. It checks itself. By evolving quantum states forward, adding a butterfly disturbance, and reversing time, it creates an “echo.” If that echo matches perfectly, you don’t just believe quantum worked… you can prove it did. This isn’t a random-number trick anymore. It’s a verified instrument. A step toward using quantum as a real scientific tool. Drug discovery. Material design. Climate modeling. All start to look… possible. IBM, Intel Corporation, and Rigetti Computing are all building their versions. But Google just raised the standard, from “claims” to “confirmation.” For decades, we called quantum “the next revolution.” Now it’s finally verifiable. Which means, The next revolution… has already started. #QuantumEchoes #GoogleQuantumAI #Innovation #FutureTech #QuantumComputing #ArjunGupta #DelhiSchoolofSkillDevelopment #ArjunAnalyst

🚨 Google just hit a major breakthrough in quantum computing. Their new 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘱 just ran a verified quantum algorithm that beat the world’s best supercomputers by about 13,000 times faster. The algorithm, called 𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴, helps simulate how quantum information moves through physical systems. In simpler terms, it’s like watching how energy and particles behave at a level traditional computers could never handle. This kind of tech could eventually help us design better drugs, new materials, and even cleaner energy sources. Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, called it a major moment for quantum computing. Elon Musk even chimed in, saying it “𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵.” For years, quantum computing felt like science fiction. Now, it’s starting to look like the future just knocked on the door, and Google opened it. -------- Source: Google

Dear quantum computing industry, let's be honest… Most quantum storytelling on social media is missing the mark. And no, press releases are not the answer. Not everyone consuming your content is an investor, journalist, or engineer. What if quantum companies shared stories like: 🫀 My dad has heart issues, but quantum could help him celebrate more birthdays. 🗺️ During the holidays, quantum annealing could optimize routes so gifts arrive on time. 🌎 Quantum could help build cleaner energy solutions so we leave the planet better than we found it. 🛡️ Quantum-secure data could stop grandma from getting scammed again. When you explain technology like a human, not a lab manual, people listen. That’s how I’ve gone viral organically across multiple platforms and industries. A a social media professional and a quantum enthusiast, I believe the next big leap in this industry won’t come from hardware, It'll come from how quantum companies communicate their stories. 🤔 So I’m curious: Do you think quantum companies are doing a good job on social media? Which ones could do better? - #QuantumComputing #Storytelling #Innovation #Marketing #ScienceCommunication #SocialMediaStrategy #Dwave #Ionq #Rigetti #Google #Microsoft #Amazon #Sealsq #Tech #Socialmedia IonQ D-Wave Rigetti Computing The Quantum Insider Quantinuum SEALSQ Quantum Quantum Computing Report IBM Quantum Toshiba Quantum Technology

Google’s Quantum Leap: The Willow Chip Google has achieved a historic milestone in quantum computing with its new Willow chip, marking the first-ever verifiable quantum advantage — where a quantum computer outperformed the world’s fastest supercomputers, and the result can be independently confirmed. Using an algorithm called Quantum Echoes, the Willow chip completed complex calculations 13,000 times faster than a top supercomputer. It mirrors how atoms and molecules naturally interact, helping scientists uncover hidden quantum patterns — like how electrons move or molecules bond. This breakthrough has profound potential for health and longevity. By accurately modeling molecular behavior, it could accelerate drug discovery, enable personalized medicine, and help design better materials for medical technology. Announcing the achievement, Sundar Pichai called it a major step toward real-world applications, while Elon Musk noted, “Looks like quantum computing is becoming relevant.” Link: https://lnkd.in/gjHSs__M #Google #WillowChip #QuantumComputing #HealthTech #DrugDiscovery #LongevityScience #BioInnovation #FutureOfHealth #SundarPichai #ElonMusk #QuantumTechnology #AIandScience #NextGenTech

🚀 Quantum devices aren’t just faster computers—they’re redefining the rules of reality. Imagine a chip solving problems that would take traditional supercomputers longer than the age of the universe.🤯 That’s exactly what Google’s Willow quantum processor just did, then turned around and looked inside molecules in ways science said was impossible. Here’s the leap-up: • Quantum error correction is now surpassing error generation—think of a car repairing itself while racing at 200 mph. • Quantum supremacy has moved from lab proof to practical tool—solving molecular mysteries that traditional tools can’t reach. • And yes—classical physics? It just got a major rewrite. Quantum systems are now going beyond the limits we thought were set forever. It blows my mind. 🤯 🤯 🤯 If you’re in tech, business, or innovation—this matters. The future isn’t coming. It’s already here. The question is - who's going to ride the wave, and who's going to ignore it...and get left behind? #QuantumComputing #Innovation #FutureOfTech #DigitalTransformation Google Curious? https://lnkd.in/gCT7CQUW
