As interest in generative AI in healthcare grows, hospitals and health systems are rapidly exploring where the technology adds value. Recently, I had the opportunity to moderate a panel of healthcare industry leaders who shared insights into how their hospitals and health systems are leveraging generative AI to improve patient care and the provider experience. The panel discussion touched on several topics - AI innovation with governance, robust data protection, successful partnerships, focus on low-risk high-impact use cases, and Agentic AI and other architectures within the clinical and administrative workflows. Grateful to participate in this conversation. When people talk about AI in healthcare, the focus often stops at automation. But AI has the potential to do much more: to strengthen clinical workflows, streamline access, and support clinicians in delivering high-value, person-centered care. Excited to discuss how agentic AI can safely enable care delivery, extend clinical capacity, and help providers focus their time where it makes the greatest impact. Donovan Campbell and I will also share an early look at our upcoming new products in Digital AI Triage and AI Care Coordination. Join us for this webinar! 👏
Join us on 11/20 at 3 PM ET for our new webinar, ‘AI in Healthcare: It’s Time to Move Beyond the Back Office,’ with Medbridge CEO Donovan Campbell and CPTO Sarah Jacob Singh. In healthcare, some of the most valuable data isn’t found in medical records - it’s spoken. Every day, care teams and patients exchange millions of phone calls filled with context, emotion, and clinical insight. Yet once the call ends, that information is gone. That’s why I’m so excited about Popai Health, a platform turning these conversations into real-time intelligence. By embedding healthcare-trained AI directly into care workflows, Popai helps teams identify risks earlier, reduce administrative burden, and deliver more proactive, personalized care. It’s a glimpse into the future of connected care, where voice becomes a powerful source of clinical understanding. Read more about this vision in our latest article: https://lnkd.in/dRH9HFAp

What separates AI pilots that scale from those that stall? For those who couldn’t attend, here are a few takeaways from my HLTH USA 2025 panel on prioritizing AI investments with leaders from the American Medical Association and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Focus is key. As Andrea Willis said, “Be honest about where you are at and what you can adopt.” Ambition is great, but sustainable success starts with a few key use cases your team can realistically support and adopt. Start building literacy and trust now. Stacy Lloyd shared that physician usage of AI rose 78% since 2023. But feedback loops, privacy, workflow integration and ongoing education will be key to continue building their trust. Measure the ROI? Maybe, but most importantly be clear with your short and long-term objectives. E.g., efficiency, patient outcomes, clinician adoption, etc. and bake those into how to measure the success of your AI pilot. #HLTH2025 #AIinHealthcare #DigitalHealth #HealthInnovation
